THE CUTTING OF AN IMPORTANT PINK SAPPHIRE

Jerrold Green presents the cutting of an important Pink Sapphire:

		Shaping the Bayt-Aleph After studying the gem for a number of weeks, Mr. Green recommended that the gem be re-faceted to create aesthetic order to what was previously a jumble of facets. Mr. Green proceeded by optimizing those areas of the gem in need of care. All that remained of the previous faceting can be seen as the clear dark glassy area in the center of the face up photo and the transparent “X” shape from the rear.
